Run for Energy

Hi Everyone!

Nope I'm not talking about personal energy benefits by exercising! :-) Take a look at this awesome idea reported in Scientific American! Tiles are placed in the pavement and then when runners pound the street they are generating energy which is harvested for street lights or vending machines. Can you imagine if we had them in all the streets and when cars rolled over them they could produce enough for our other energy needs. Lets get right on this! :-)

Food Wasted More than Paper & Plastic!

Tonight on the news they had a segment on how much food Americans waste. They reported on average families waste 20lbs of food each month, 40% of their food! They further stated food is now the #1 item in landfills surpassing paper and plastic!!! Think about how much money that is you are wasting!!
