Wind 140% of Denmark's Electricity

Woo Hoo! Congrats to Denmark! They are generating 140% of their Electrical demand! They are sharing their surplus with Germany, Norway and Sweden! Can you imagine if the US would do this! :-)

Green Roofs in France

Yesterday France decided that all new homes have to include partial Green Rooftops. The roofs have to include plants or solar panels. Check out France's new law.

Gulf Oil Spill Effect Bottom of Sea
Hi Everyone!
Some new research has found at least 10 million gallons of crude oil from the 210 million gallon Gulf Oil spill in 2010 has made its way to the floor of the ocean. This poses great consequences to the food chain since this oil is likely to be there for a very long time. Tumors and lesions have been noted on sea life already.

Two very interesting studies will be published this week look at the relationship between glacier melting, sea levels, and underwater volcano eruptions releasing carbon dioxide which in turn changes the planet's temperature.
