AMA Declares Climate Change a Public Crisis

Some progress...the AMA has adopted a new policy declaring climate change a public health crisis and the New England Journal of Medicine will begin a series of articles starting Thurs on the effects of pollution on children's health.

IL Tollway helps Pine Dunes

 

Hi Everyone...

Here is a good piece on how the IL Tollway has been helping the Pine Dunes in the Lake County Forest Preserve. They have created 58 acres of new wetlands, enhanced and restored 32 acres of wetland, 3,300 feet of streams, and 235 acres of woodlands. They also have converted and improve upland farmland into wet prairie, mesic-prairie and oak savanna areas.
